Subjects performed two alternate tasks, namely tell if a horizontal line is crossed precisely in the middle (LANDMARK) and tell if a horizontal line is crossed at all (DETECTION). The following instructions were used: âPress the button with your left index finger if the line is bisected in the middle otherwise press the button with your right fingerâ or âPress the button with your left index finger if the line is crossed otherwise press the button with your right fingerâ.
